IAN WAS educated at Ravensbourne
College of Art and Design in Kent where he achieved his qualifications. It
was here he first experimented with photograp
hy,
which developed into a life long passion.
BUILDING HIS own darkroom and processing his own films opened many opportunities to begin experiments in image manipulation. But, as Ian says himself "It was the introduction of digital cameras and the new pallets provided by software such as Photoshop which at last gave me the chance to create the images I had long only imagined ."
IAN HAS had work exhibited at
The Guildhall in
London, New Malden and latterly in East Anglia. The move
to East
Anglia in the late 90's provided him
with an increased
passion and inspiration for his manipulated
art. "Artists
through the ages have been invigorated by the light and
space of Norfolk and Suffolk, it seemed
every day brought new opportunities and ideas" Ian said,
"In an area of such rural beauty the smallest seasonal
change creates images that need to be captured."
